A flask was charged with ethyl 3-(5-bromo-2-thioureidopyridin-4-yloxy)-4-chlorobenzoate (0.200 g, 0.464 mmol), 1-bromo-4-phenylbutan-2-one (0.105 g, 0.464 mmol) and triethylamine (0.0470 g, 0.464 mmol). Ethanol (5 mL) was added and the reaction was heated at 70° C. for 6 hours, and then concentrated to provide ethyl the desired product (0.250 g, 95 yield) as white solid. LC/MS (apci) M+2H: 560 (100%).
