The procedure described in Example 4.1. is repeated. Starting from 1.93 g (8.4 mmol) of 1,1-dimethylethyl 4-(2-hydroxyethyl)-1-piperidine-carboxylate and 5.88 g (33.6 mmol) of 1-bromo-4-fluorobenzene gives 4.1 g of crude product in oil form.
