A mixture of 2-chloro-9-cyclopentyl-7-fluoro-5,7-dimethyl-8,9-dihydro-5H-pyrimido[4,5-b][1,4]diazepin-6(7H)-one (obtained above), 4-amino-3-methoxybenzoic acid (585 mg, 3.5 mmol), isopropanol (10 ml), water (5 mL) and concentrated hydrochloric acid (10 drops) was stirred at 100° C. for 20 h. Solid was filtered to give the product as white solid (396 mg). [M+H] calc'd for C22H26FN5O4, 444. found 444.
