To a solution of 6-(4-(diphenylmethyleneamino)phenyl)-4-(3-ethoxy-4-hydroxy-5-nitrophenyl)-5-phenyl-3,4-dihydropyrimidin-2(1H)-one (230 mg, 0.38 mmol) in THF (2 mL) was added concentrated HCl solution (0.5 mL), and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 2 h. The mixture was concentrated and purified by column to give Compound 57 (170 mg, yield 100%). 1H NMR (DMSO-d6 400 MHz): δ 10.31 (s, 1H), 8.54 (s, 1H), 7.50 (s, 1H), 7.45 (s, 1H), 7.22 (d, J=1.6 Hz, 1H), 7.07-6.97 (m, 5H), 6.83 (d, J=7.2 Hz, 2H), 6.59 (d, J=7.2 Hz, 2H), 5.09 (d, J=2.8 Hz, 1H), 4.06 (q, J=6.8 Hz, 2H), 1.34 (t, J=6.8 Hz, 3H); MS (ESI): m/z 447.0 [M+1]+.
