To a solution of compound 34d (10.9 mmol) in DMF (35 mL) were added TBDPSCl (24.0 mmol) and imidazole (32.7 mmol). The reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for 16 hrs. The reaction mixture was then diluted with DCM (140 mL) and washed sequentially with 1N HCl (140 mL) and H2O (140 mL). Organics were dried, concentrated, and purified by silica gel chromatography (PE/EtOAc) to yield compound 35 as a colourless oil in 65% yield.
