5-(tert-Butyl)-3-((tert-butylamino)methyl)-3′,4′-dichloro-[1,1′-biphenyl]-2-ol hydrochloride was prepared as a white solid using the procedure described in Example 9 from 5-(tert-butyl)-3′,4′-dichloro-2-hydroxy-[1,1′-biphenyl]-3-carbaldehyde and tert-butylamine.
