Procedure
A solution of 10 g of 5-chloro-1,3-dihydroindol-2-one, 6.18 g of cyclohexanecarboxaldehyde and 4.93 ml of pyrrolidine in 250 ml of toluene is refluxed for 1 hour, the water formed being removed by means of a Dean-Stark apparatus. The reaction mixture is concentrated to about 90 ml and left to crystallize. The crystalline product formed is filtered off and washed with toluene and then with iso ether to give 9.7 g of the expected product after recrystallization from toluene. M.p.=203°-204° C.
