To a solution of 2-amino-4-(3-trifluoromethyl-pyridin-2-yl)-benzamide (0.5 mmol) and pyridine (0.55 mmol) in THF (5 ml) add acetyl chloride (0.55 mmol). Stir the mixture 10 minutes at room temperature. Concentrate under vacuum, extract with EtOAc, wash with brine, dry over Na2SO4, and concentrate under vacuum. Triturate with ether to give 2-acetylamino-4-(3-trifluoromethyl-pyridin-2-yl)-benzamide.
