Procedure

8 parts of 2-(4-phenoxyphenyl) pyrrolidine, 3.3 parts of triethylamine, 4 parts of allyl bromide and 70 parts of toluene were refluxed for 5 hours. After cooling and filtration, there were obtained by distillation 7.7 parts of 1-allyl-2-(4-phenoxyphenyl) pyrrolidine, B.P./0.2 mm Hg: 148°-150° C., nD26 =1.5695, M.P. of its acid fumarate: 115°-116° C. (isopropanol/ether).
