Procedure

Reaction of cinnamyl alcohol with ethyl iodide was carried out in the same manner as described in Example I. The analytical data supported the assigned structure and GC analysis indicated a purity of 99+%: λmaxCCl4 6.66, 6.87, 7.25, 8.75-9.1, 10.35 and 14.45 μ.
