Procedure
4.72 g (0.02 mol) of 4,6-dichloro-2-isopropyl-5-nitro-pyrimidine are dissolved in 100 ml of abs. ethanol. At -30° C, 2 g (0.02 mol) of triethylamine and 0.9 g (0.02 mol) of ethylamine are added and the mixture is then stirred for 4 hours at -20° C and for 6 hours at 0° C. Subsequently the reaction mixture is concentrated to dryness and the product is taken up in water and extracted with ether, to yield 4.5 g of 2-isopropyl-4-ethylamino-5-nitro-6-chloro-pyrimidine; m.p. 50° C.
