To 2-amino-4-(1-(2-fluoro-4-biphenylyl)ethyl)thiazole (300 mg, 1.01 mmol) in tetrahydrofuran (15 ml) was added benzoyl chloride (145 mg, 1.03 mmol) and triethylamine (101 mg, 1.00 mmol) and the mixture was stirred at room temperature overnight. After reaction, the reaction mixture was filterated and evaporated under reduced pressure to a residue, which was cromatographed to afford 2-benzamido-4-(1-(2-fluoro-4-biphenylyl)ethyl)thiazole (279 mg, 69% yield): mp 147°-147.5° C.
