The reaction mixture was cooled to rt, poured into water (30 mL), and extracted with ethyl acetate (50 mL×3). The combined organic layers were washed sequentially with water and brine. The organic layer was separated, dried over sodium sulfate, filtered, and concentrated under reduced pressure. The residue was purified directly by preparative reverse-phase HPLC to afford (1R,2R)-2-((6-((6-fluoro-3H-imidazo[4,5-b]pyridin-3-yl)methyl)benzo[d]oxazol-2-yl)amino)cyclohexanol (68 mg, 27%) as a yellow solid. 1H NMR (300 MHz, DMSO-d6): δ 8.67 (s, 1H), 8.41 (m, 1H), 8.06 (m, 1H), 7.79 (m, 1H), 7.39 (s, 1H), 7.13-7.15 (m, 2H), 5.48 (s, 2H), 4.67 (d, J=3.9 Hz, 1H), 3.30-3.35 (m, 2H), 1.86-1.95 (m, 2H), 1.60-1.65 (m, 2H), 1.15-1.35 (m, 4H); LCMS (ESI) m/z 382 (M+H)+.
