In the course of this the reaction temperature rises from room temperature to approx. 32° C. The mixture is stirred for a further hour at room temperature and for a further 3 hours at approx. 45° C. and is then cooled to room temperature and stirred into 200 ml of water and 12 g of concentrated H2SO4. 180 ml of diethyl ether are added and the organic phase is separated off. The aqueous phase is washed with a further 50 ml of diethyl ether. The combined organic phases are washed with water, sodium bicarbonate and water again and are then dried, concentrated and fractionated. The resulting product, which has a boiling point of 180°-183° C. at 0.001 bar, is recrystallized from 20 ml of isopropanol.
