4-Fluoro-N-(2-hydroxyphenyl) benzamide (IVa), acid (H2SO4, methanesulfonic acid (MeSO3H) or p-toluene sulfonic acid (p-TsOH)) and solvent were heated under the conditions outlined in table 2 with a Dean-Stark tube.
