Procedure

To a solution of Example 169 (430 mg 2.1 mmol) in N,N-dimethylformamide (10 mL) was added K2CO3 (582 mg, 4.21 mmol) followed by 1-bromo-2-fluoroethane (267 mg, 2.1 mmol). The reaction stirred at room temperature for 16 hours before addition of water, brine and ethyl acetate. The organic layer was collected and concentrated. Purification via flash chromatography (0-100% ethyl acetate/hexanes) afforded the title compound. 1H NMR (300 MHz, DMSO-d6) δ ppm 6.69-7.00 (m, 4H), 4.64 (t, J=4.96 Hz, 1H), 4.48 (t, J=4.76 Hz, 1H), 4.28-4.43 (m, 1H), 4.03-4.15 (m, 1H), 2.97-3.21 (m, 3H), 2.57-2.86 (m, 4H), 2.33-2.46 (m, 1H), 2.19-2.33 (m, 1H), 1.80-2.08 (m, 2H); MS (ESI+) m/z 251 (M+H)+.
