1.17 g of 4-chloro-2-(4-methoxyphenyl)-6-methylpyrimidine and 1.38 g of 1-diphenylmethylpiperazine were dissolved in 20 ml of N,N-dimethylformamide. After the addition of 1 g of potassium carbonate, the mixture was stirred for 6 hours at 80° to 85° C. The reaction mixture was poured into ice-water, then the resulting crystals were filtered off, washed with water and dried. Whereby 2.2 g of crystals were obtained. 1.85 g of the crystals were obtained by recrystallizing with ethanol. Melting point is 147° to 149° C.
