To a solution of 0.32 mmol 2-(4-Fluoro-phenyl)-N-(3-methyl-1H-indazol-5-yl)-2-oxo-N-[2-(6-trifluoromethyl-pyridin-3-yl)-ethyl]-acetamide (step 1) in 5 ml dry DMF was added 1.1 eq. NaH and the RM stirred at RT for 30 min. 5 eq. MeI was added and stirring continued for 5 h. Addition of 5 ml H2O, concentration, repartioning between EtOAc and H2O, gave after separation of the layers and concentration the target compound (157 mg) MS(m/e): 485.1 [M+H]+ which was used directly for the next step.
