Using the procedure of Step B in Example 6, a mixture of 7 g of the product of Step B, 70 ml of tetrahydrofuran and 2.2 g of 4-dimethylamino-pyridine were reacted to obtain 6.1 g of 3-butyl-1,3-dihydro-1-[(2-thiazolyl)-imino]-5-trifluoromethyl-furo[3,4-b]quinoline-9-ol melting at 228° C.
