To the solution of N-{3-[3-(2-chloro-4-pyrimidinyl)-4-fluoropyrazolo[1,5-a]pyridin-2-yl]phenyl}-2,2,2-trifluoroacetamide (0.40 g) in THF (27 mL) and water (3 mL) was added 5% LiOH solution (2.3 mL). The reaction was kept stirring at RT for 15 h and was worked up with sat. NaHCO3 solution (20 mL) and extracted with EtOAc (2×20 mL). The organic phase was dried (Na2SO4) and concentrated to afford the crude 3-[3-(2-chloro-4-pyrimidinyl)-4-fluoropyrazolo[1,5-a]pyridin-2-yl]aniline (0.30 g, 95% yield) as yellow solid. ES-LC/MS m/z=340 [M+H]+.
