A solution containing the product from Example 107D (0.5 g, 0.840 mmol) in a mixture of methanol (4 mL) and ethyl acetate (4 mL) was treated with Pd(OH)2 on carbon (0.175 g, 20% Pd by wt.) and HCl solution (0.40 mL, 4N in dioxane), stirred under a hydrogen atmosphere (balloon pressure) at 25° C. for 2 hours, filtered through a bed of celite®, rinsed with methanol, and concentrated to give the title compound as the hydrochloride salt.
