The product from Example 150B (0.242 g, 0.41 mmol) was dissolved in a mixture of ethyl acetate (2.0 mL) and methanol (2.0 mL) and 20% Pd(OH)2 on carbon (0.10 g) and a solution of HCl in dioxane (0.10 mL, 4 N) were added, and the reaction was stirred under an atmosphere of hydrogen (balloon pressure) for 18 hours. The mixture was filtered through celite and the solvent was evaporated to give the title compound as the hydrochloride salt (0.273 g, which was used without further purification.
