To a solution of 3-(2,4-dichlorophenyl)-5-bromo-2-nitropyrazine (1.4 g, 4.0 mmol) in DMF (10 ml) were added Boc-ethylenediamine (960 mg, 6.0 mmol) and DIPEA (1.5 ml). The solution was stirred overnight at 80° C. The solution was cooled to room temperature, taken in ethyl acetate and water. The layers were separated and the organic layer was washed with water and brine, dried, concentrated and purified to afford the title product.
