A mixture of Example 1 (371 mg, 1 mmol) in THF (4 mL), methanol (3 mL), and 1.7M LiOH (3 mL, 5.1 mmol) was stirred at reflux for 1.5 hours. The mixture was cooled to room temperature, diluted with water, and acidified with dilute HCl. The resulting precipitate was collected by filtration, washed with cold water, and dried to provide 324 mg of the desired product (91% yield). ESI-MS m/z 358 (MH+); 1H NMR (300 MHz, DMSO-d6) 1.37-2.05 (m, 10H), 2.78 (m, 1H), 4.06 (s, 1H), 5.17 (s, 1H), 6.39 (m, 1H), 6.89 (d, J=10.61 Hz, 1H), 7.50 (m, 4H), 7.60 (m, 1H), 7.88 (d, J=8.78 Hz, 1H), 8.24 (s, 1H), 12.59, (s, 1H).
