A solution of ethyl 4-((1R,3S)-3-amino-2,2,3-trimethylcyclopentylamino)-3-carbamoylpyrrolo[1,2-b]pyridazine-6-carboxylate (8.37 g, 22.42 mmol) and Et3N (6.25 mL, 44.8 mmol) in THF (100 mL) was added BOC2O (10.41 mL, 44.8 mmol), and then the reaction mixture was heated to 70° C. for 16 hrs. The reaction mixture was concentrated to afford ethyl 4-((1R,3S)-3-(tert-butoxycarbonylamino)-2,2,3-trimethylcyclopentylamino)-3-carbamoylpyrrolo[1,2-b]pyridazine-6-carboxylate. LC/MS (M+H)+=474.3.
