Procedure
Compound 26 (0.84 g, 1.89 mmol) was dissolved in THF (15 mL) and lithium hydroxide (544 mg, 22.7 mmol) dissolved in water (10 mL) was added. The resulting mixture was stirred at room temperature overnight. The pH of the resulting mixture was adjusted to pH=4 by addition of a 1 M solution of hydrochloric acid. Then the mixture was extracted with ethyl acetate. The organic layer was dried over MgSO4 and concentrated. The title compound 28 was isolated as a white powder (690 mg, 84%). m/z=421 (M+H)+.
