Z-Gly-OSu (1.3 g, 4.25 mmol) was dissolved in DMF (15 ml) and DIEA (1.82 ml, 10.6 mmol) and H-Glu-OtBu (0.949 g, 4.67 mmol) were added and the resulting mixture was stirred at room temperature for 16 hours. AcOEt (100 ml) was added and the mixture was washed with 0.2N hydrochloric acid (100 ml) and water (2×100 ml). The organic phase was dried (Na2SO4) and concentrated in vacuo to afford 1.7 g (quant.) of Z-Gly-Glu-OtBu as an oil.
