6-[1-(3-Pyridyl)pyrazol-4-yl]-2,3-dihydropyrano[3,2-b]pyridin-4-one (120 mg, 0.41 mmol), CH3ONH2.HCl (38 mg, 0.82 mmol) and KOAc (81 mg, 0.82 mmol) were suspended in methanol (3 ml) under N2. The reaction mixture was refluxed overnight and purified by chromatography on silica (EtOAc) to get the title compound as a yellow solid.
