To a solution of 8-chloro-6-methyl-2-(methylthio)pyrido[3,4-d]pyrimidine (Preparation 52, 80 mg, 0.354 mmol) in NMP (7 mL) was added 2-methoxy-2-methylpropan-1-amine (0.086 ml, 0.709 mmol) and triethylamine (0.249 mL, 1.772 mmol). The reaction mixture was heated to 120° C. for 18 hours. The reaction mixture was diluted with EtOAc (30 mL), washed with water (30 mL), dried (MgSO4) and concentrated in vacuo. The residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography eluting with 0-50% EtOAc in cyclohexane to afford the title compound (63 mg, 61%).
