Compound 2 was synthesized from commercially available 7-Methoxyindole using the general procedure and 1-bromobutane to afford 0.51 g (74% yield) as a clear oil. TLC system: 10% EtOAc/90% n-hexanes. Spectral data matched previously reported data.35
