A solution of ethyl 3-[5-(5-{3-chloro-4-[(1-methylethyl)oxy]phenyl}-1,2,4-oxadiazol-3-yl)-1H-indol-2-yl]propanoate (D33) (114 mg), DABCO (56 mg) and dimethyl carbonate (2 mL) in N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF, 2 mL) was stirred at 90° C. for 2 days. After cooled to room temperature, the reaction mixture was diluted with ethyl acetate. The organic solution was washed with water. The organic solution was dried over anhydrous sodium sulfate. The dried solution was concentrated. The residue was purified by column chromatography to afford methyl 3-[5-(5-{3-chloro-4-[(1-methylethyl)oxy]phenyl}-1,2,4-oxadiazol-3-yl)-1-methyl-1H-indol-2-yl]propanoate (D113) (67 mg). MS (ES): C24H24ClN3O4 requires 453; found 454.2 (M+H+).
