Procedure
A mixture of the product from step (v) (0.175 g) and lithium hydroxide monohydrate (0.034 g) in tetrahydrofuran (3 ml) and water (3 ml) was stirred at room temperature for 3 hours and partitioned between dichloromethane and 2 M HCl. The organic phase was dried (MgSO4) and evaporated under reduced pressure. Yield 0.095 g.
Workup
- custompartitioned between dichloromethane and 2 M HCl
