Procedure
A mixture of 28.2 g of 2,6-difluoro-4-(trans-4-pentylcyclohexyl)-phenol, 6.9 g of K2CO3, 25 g of hexyl iodide and 250 ml of dimethylformamide is heated at 80° for 16 hours, while stirring, and is then cooled and worked up in the usual manner. This gives 2,6-difluoro-4-(trans-4-pentylcyclohexyl)-1-hexoxybenzene.
