Analogously to Example 1, by reaction of 1.3 g of 2-methyl-4-methylsulfinyl-5-methylsulfonylbenzoyl chloride [obtainable by reaction of 2-methyl-4-chloro-5-methylsulfonylbenzoic acid with Na methanethiolate, subsequent partial oxidation with hydrogen peroxide and conversion into the acid chloride, e.g. with SOCl2 ] with guanidine, N-diaminomethylene-2-methyl-4-methylsulfinyl-5-methylsulfonylbenzamide is obtained after customary working up and recrystallization from diethyl ether.
