A solution of 7-bromopyrido[3,2-d]pyrimidin-4(3H)-one (200 mg, 0.89 mmol), 1-bromo-2-methoxyethane (148 mg, 1.06 mmol) and K2CO3 (184 mg, 1.3 mmol) in acetone (10 mL) and DMF (3 mL) was stirred at room temperature for 4 h. Then the mixture was diluted with H2O (50 mL) and extracted with ethyl acetate (3×50 mL), the combined organic layers were washed with brine, dried over Na2SO4. After filtration and concentration, the residue was purified by silica gel chromatography to give the desired product. MS (ESI): 284, 286 (MH+).
