Procedure

To a solution of ethyl 1-methyl-5-(2-(5-methyl-2-phenyloxazol-4-yl)ethylcarbamoyl)-1H-pyrazole-4-carboxylate (407 mg, 1.06 mmol) in THF (3.00 mL) and Ethanol (1.5 mL) was added LiOH (1M aqueous solution, 2.13 mL, 2.13 mmol) at 0-5° C. The reaction mixture was stirred at RT for 2 h and poured into HCl (1 M, 2.15 mL). The resulting thick suspension was filtered and the filtrate was extracted with dichloromethane (3×50 mL). The organic layers were combined, dried over MgSO4 and concentrated in vacuo to give 341 mg (90.4%) off-white solid as crude product which was used without any further purification.
