The flask was charged with dichloromethane, 20 mg of 1-(3,4-difluorobenzyl)-2-oxo-1,2-dihydropyridine-3-carboxylic acid, DMF, (COCl)2 was added slowly via syringe. Then the resulted mixture was allowed to stir at room temperature for 3 h. After TLC show the reaction was complete, the solvent was removed under high vacuum to give 25 mg of crude product, which was used for the next step reaction without further purification.
