Hydrogen chloride (4.0 M in 1,4-dioxane, 2.0 mL) was added to a solution of tert-butyl (5S)-2-(2-chlorophenyl)-1-oxo-2,7-diazaspiro[4.5]decane-7-carboxylate (0.103 g, 0.000283 mol) in ethyl acetate (0.5 mL) and the mixture was stirred for 2 h. Then the solvent was removed in-vacuo to afford the desired product. LC-MS: 265.2 (M+H)+.
