The mixture of 5,6-diamino-1-pentyl-2-thioxo-2,3-dihydropyrimidin-4(1H)-one (1060 mg, 0.00464 mol), cyclobutane carboxylic acid (0.55 g, 5.5 mmol), benzotriazol-1-yloxytris-(dimethylamino)phosphonium hexafluorophosphate (2.2 g, 5.1 mmol) and triethylamine (1.3 mL, 9.3 mmol) in DMF (20 mL) was stirred at room temperature for 4 hours. The mixture was diluted with water. The precipitate formed was filtered and dried to yield the desired product (1.20 g, 83.27%). LCMS calculated for C14H23N4O2S (M+H): 311.2. found 311.2.
