A solution (0.06 M) of N-benzyl-2-{[(7S)-11-carboxy-14-cyclohexyl-7,8-dihydro-6H-indolo[1,2-e][1,5]benzoxazocin-7-yl]oxy}-N-methylethanaminium chloride and DMAP (3 eq) in anhydrous DCM, was treated with EDC (1.5 eq) and N-(2,2-dimethoxyethyl)-N-methylsulfamide (prepared as described in Example 1, Step 1). The mixture was stirred at 40° C. for 14 h, and then diluted with EtOAc, washed with aqueous sat. aq. NaHCO3 and brine. The organic layer was dried (Na2SO4), filtered and concentrated in vacuo to give the title compound. The product was used in the next step without further purification. (ES+) m/z 719 (M+H)+.
