To a stirred solution of 9-1 (7 g, 20.2 mMol) and t-butylcarbamate (2.6 g, 22.3 mMol) in dry acetonitrile (35 mL) was added triethylsilane (29.1 mL, 182 mMol) followed by trifluoroacetic acid (6 mL, 81 mMol). After stirring for 3 hours, the solution was poured into aqueous NaHCO3 and was extracted into ethyl acetate three times. The combined organic layers were washed with water followed by brine. The organic layer was then dried with Na2SO4, filtered, and concentrated in vacuo and purified using flash chromatography on silica. LC/MS (M+1) calculated: 446.9; observed: 446.1
