2-(1,4′-Bipiperidin-1′-yl)benzo[d]oxazole-5-carboxylic acid (Example 95A, 40 mg, 0.121 mmol), ethanamine hydrochloride (15 mg, 0.182 mmol), and O-(7-azabenzotriazol-1-yl)-N,N,N′,N′-tetramethyluronium hexafluorophosphate (55 mg, 0.146 mmol) were combined in tetrahydrofuran (3 mL). Triethylamine (51 μL, 0.364 mmol) was added and the mixture was stirred at 45° C. overnight. The reaction mixture was diluted with dichloromethane, washed with a 1 N aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide, and absorbed on silica gel. The crude mixture was purified with silica gel chromatography eluting with a gradient of methanol in dichloromethane (3-18%) to afford the title compound. 1H NMR (300 MHz, CDCl3) δ ppm 1.25 (t, J=7.29 Hz, 3 H) 1.39-1.51 (m, 2 H) 1.52-1.75 (m, 7 H) 1.96 (d, J=12.89 Hz, 2 H) 2.44-2.61 (m, J=4.75 Hz, 4 H) 3.01-3.15 (m, 2 H) 3.43-3.58(m, 2 H) 4.29-4.41 (m, 2 H) 6.01 (s, 1 H) 7.21-7.28 (m, 1 H) 7.50 (dd, J=8.31, 1.86 Hz, 1 H) 7.66 (d, J=1.36 Hz, 1 H); MS (ESI+) m/z 357.0 (M+H)+.
