A solution of 4-cyano-1-(2-trimethylsilanyl-ethoxymethyl)-1H-imidazole-2-carboxylic acid [2-(4,4-dimethyl-cyclohex-1-enyl)-4-(1H-tetrazol-5-ylmethyl)-phenyl]-amide (as prepared in Example 42, step (b), 78 mg, 0.14 mmol) and (2-chloro-ethyl)-dimethyl-amine hydrochloride (63 mg, 0.43 mmol) in DMF (1 mL) was treated with DIEA (128 μL, 0.73 mmol) and then heated at 100° C. for 1 h. The reaction was allowed to cool to room temperature, diluted with EtOAc (25 mL) and then washed with water (2×10 mL). The organic phase was dried (Na2SO4) and concentrated in vacuo. Purification by preparative tlc (10% MeOH—CHCl3) afforded 21 mg (24%) of the title compound. Mass spectrum (ESI, m/z): Calcd. for C31H45N9O2Si, 604.3 (M+H), found 604.1.
