Procedure
6-(Hydroxymethyl)-1-(2-hydroxyphenyl)-3-(1-phenyl-1H-pyrazol-5-yl)pyridazin-4(1H)-one (190 mg) was dissolved in toluene (2 mL) and THF (3 mL), triphenylphosphine (202 mg) and 1.9M DIAD toluene solution (410 μL) were added at 0° C., and the reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for 1 hr. To the reaction mixture was added saturated aqueous sodium hydrogen carbonate solution, and the mixture was extracted with ethyl acetate. The extract was washed with saturated brine, dried over anhydrous magnesium sulfate, and the solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure. The residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography (hexane/ethyl acetate) to give the title compound (130 mg).
