A mixture of 5-methoxy-4-oxo-1-[3-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]-1,4-dihydropyridazine-3-carboxylic acid (300 mg), methyl 2-methylalaninate (134 mg), HOBt (219 mg), WSC (275 mg) and N,N-diisopropylethylamine (0.834 mL) in THF (3.18 mL) was stirred at room temperature for 17 hr, and water was added. The precipitate was collected by filtration, and washed with water and hexane to give the title compound (336 mg).
