3-[2-(2-Oxo-1,2-dihydro-indol-3-ylidenemethyl)-4,5,6,7-tetrahydro-1H-indol-3-yl]-propionic acid (Compound VI) (1 g), 630 L of 2-morpholin-4-yl-ethylamine, and 530 mg of di-imidazol-1-yl-methanone, in 10 mL of N,N-dimethyl-formamide, were stirred at room temperature for 1 hr. The reaction mixture was poured into water. The precipitate was filtered and was suspended in hot ethanol. After the suspension was cooled to room temperature, the precipitate was filtered, was washed with ethanol, and was dried in an oven overnight to give N-(2-morpholin-4-yl-ethyl)-3-[2-(2-oxo-1,2-dihydro-indol-3-ylidenemethyl)-4,5,6,7-tetrahydro-1H-indol-3-yl]-propionamide (Compound VII).
