Hydrochloric acid (4M, 8.6 ml) was added to a solution of N-(5-cyano-4-(2-methoxyethoxyl)pyridin-2-yl)-7-(dimethoxymethyl)-6-((4-methyl-2-oxopiperazin-1-yl)methyl)-3,4-dihydro-1,8-naphthyridine-1(2H)-carboxamide (intermediate 107, 950 mg, 1.72 mmol) in THF (15 ml) at room temperature. After stirring for 4 h at room temperature saturated aqueous NaHCO3 was added, the mixture extracted with DCM (3×), the organic layers dried over MgSO4 and evaporated. The residue was stirred with EtOAc for 20 minutes then diluted with heptane and then filtered to give the title compound as a white solid.
