NaH (95%, 0.005 g, 0.21 mmol) was added slowly at RT to a solution of N-[4-(4-Bromo-1-oxo-1H-phthalazin-2-yl)-phenyl]acetamide (0.070 g, 0.20 mmol) in DMF (2 ml). Stirring was continued for 1 h before ethyl iodide (0.046 g, 0.29 mmol) was added. Stirring was continued for 12 h before the solvent was evaporated in vacuum. The resulting raw product was purified by chromatography over silica gel with heptane:EtOAc (3:1 up to 1:1) to give the title compound (0.010 g, 14% yield). MS (ESI+)=388.22 (M+H)+.
