A mixture of Example 122K (3.5 g), and potassium trimethylsilanolate (1.70 g) in THF (250 mL) at room temperature was stirred for 18 hours, diluted with ethyl acetate (400 mL) and water (50 mL), and adjusted to pH 3 with 2N HCl. The organic phase was washed with water (150 mL) and brine (100 mL), dried (MgSO4), filtered, and concentrated to provide the desired product. MS (DCI (+)) m/e 357 (M+H)+.
