Procedure

In the same method as in Example C1(v), the title compound (8.35 g, 98%) was obtained as an orange oil using N-(3-hydroxy-4-methylphenyl)-3-(trifluoromethyl)benzamide (6.00 g, 20.3 mmol), 2-chloro-5-nitropyridine (3.22 g, 20.3 mmol), potassium carbonate (8.43 g, 60.9 mmol) and N,N-dimethylformamide (150 mL) as starting materials. The title compound was used for the next reaction without further purification operation.
